With Warehouse Project season now in full swing, the team that bring you Manchester’s biggest rave night have announced another date to add to their 2014 calendar. WHP is set to tone down its itinerary next year following a torrid Autumn/Winter which has been overshadowed following the PMA debacle and some less than impressive DJ performances.

Moderat will headline The Albert Hall on 7th February 2014 and the night will be the first session of the new Warehouse Project concepts.

You may well have come across the trio under their former guises of Modeselektor and Apparat. Gernot Bronsert, Sascha Ring and Sebastian Szary first collaborated in 2002 when they put out their first EP and also have a couple of full length albums under their belt – put out through Modeselektor’s Monekeytown Records label. Their most recent work has come in the form of August’s Moderat II and has been going down a treat with fans of the genre.

The Late Night Sessions are tipped to be a huge part of the Manchester music scene in 2014, as the Albert Hall becomes the latest addition to the Trof family. The venue is steeped in history and is a hidden gem, as a long forgotten chapel in the heart of the city. A grade II listed venue, it has been lovingly rejuvenated by the team at Trof, who have had great success with all of their other party spaces in Manchester – renowned particularly for their atmosphere.  The forthcoming Moderat headline show in association with The Warehouse Project signals ones of the venue’s biggest events so far.

Pre-sale tickets sold out in absolutely no time, but advanced tickets can be bought via the official Warehouse Project website.

Young Academic will be reporting live from the Sounds of the Near Future event on December 13th. Remember that you can send your reviews and updates from Warehouse Project or any of your other gigs, raves or concerts for publication on Young Academic. Just drop us a line at [email protected]
