Young Academic Entertainment : Parklife festival returns as a weekender!


This addition to the Young Academic Ultimate Festival Guide could well turn out to be the best summer dance festival of 2011. After the success of last year’s Saturday event, Parklife have announced an all weekend festival to take place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June. Surely a perfect respite from your all of your exams and coursework, we really can’t see a DJ worth seeing that isn’t playing at Parklife. Get your rave on!

Young Academic Entertainment : Sonisphere add You Me At Six to a star studded line-up


Sonisphere Festival Knebworth has revealed a further eight acts for its 2011 line-up. Surrey superstars You Me At Six make their debut and House of Pain are set for a sensational return! Young Academic Entertainment : Hideout Festival


They’re coming thick and fast now! The third addition to the Young Academic Ultimate Festival Guide is a debutant of the festival scene. Taking place on the stunning Zrce beach on the island of Pag off the coast of Croatia, this one is a must for any dance fans out there. Hideout is brought to you by two of the biggest names in the industry, Warehouse Project and Electronic Music Group. This fantastic festival takes place just after exam period so it could be the perfect tonic after an arduous academic year!

As promised, here is the latest addition to the Young Academic Ultimate Festival Guide. This instalment is from Wireless, in conjunction with Barclaycard. They have announced a cracking line up with such acts as TV on the Radio, Foals, The Horrors, Pulp, Metronomy and loads more already confirmed. This event looks set to rock the capital with Chemical Brothers and Black Eyed Peas also set to appear. Young Academic will be bring you news of every festival worth going to this summer and will also be reviewing all the best ones – all this along with the usual student news and advice. The first instalment of the Young Academic Ultimate Festival Guide is here for you today, there will be plenty more where this came from as spring approaches!
