Breaking into the fashion industry is hard for any aspiring model. No matter how beautiful, unique or cutting edge a model may be, getting noticed in a world packed full of long legged, bright faced and bushy tailed youngsters is a difficult task. Today, Young Academic brings news of a collaboration between prestigious model agency Select Model Management and the leading social shopping network OSOYOU.com who are on the search for the Face of Clothes Show Live 2012 which could be the ultimate breakthrough for aspiring models across the nation.
Clothes Show Live has gained a concrete reputation as the leading model-scouting destination in the UK and is famed for scouting A-List stars like Erin O’Connor, Cat Deeley and Holly Willoughby. Now in its twenty third year, Clothes Show Live continues to deliver when it comes to aspiring stars and the latest fashion trends.
Clothes Show Live is at the forefront of British fashion and this year has joined forces with Select Model Management and OSOYOU.com to bring one of the biggest scouting competitions this year. The winner will appear across all Clothes Show Live advertising and marketing campaigns for the 2012 show reaching hundreds of thousands of people across the UK – what a way to kick start a modelling career.
OSOYOU.com has today launched its online competition where young hopefuls are invited to send in photographs of themselves. The most promising models will be picked by OSOYOU.com editor Jess Markwood who will then put the best to the public vote. The five models who receive the most votes will be invited to this year’s Clothes Show Live event to meet the Select Model Management team and be in with the chance of winning the highly prestigious prize.
Not only will the winner become the Face of Clothes Show Live 2012 but will also make it on to the Select Model Management books alongside the likes of Agness Deyn, Stella Tennant and Eliza Cummings.
Last year saw victory for fresh faced Mel Titmuss whose stunning look captured the eye of the judging panel. She went on to shoot campaigns for various brands including Diva Hair, Parade Magazine and WAM hair but even fifteen year old Amba Reohorn who was runner-up in the competition was signed to Select Model Management’s New Faces division as a result of the collaboration.
