Warehouse Projects Season Edges Nearer as Manchester Prepares for DJ Shadow and Co

It isn’t just the new academic year that is drawing ever closer, Store Street is now less than three weeks away from the start of its very last Warehouse Project season. Young Academic has been bringing you all the latest news on every festival and gig worth its salt and the up and coming WHP festivities look all set to be more epic than ever before.

The first night, headlined by none other than DJ Shadow, is being dubbed as the ‘beginning of the end’ and is now close to being a sell out.  One of the most influential figures in electronic music from the past 15 years, DJ Shadow has received rave reviews following some incredible performances at such festivals as Glastonbury and Global Gathering.

The veteran DJ will be performing his incredible ‘Live from the Shadowsphere’ show which comprises of astonishing visuals broadcast onto a giant sphere onstage.

Dubstep legend Skream and Glasgow sensation Hudson Mohawke also kick off their Warehouse Project residencies and are joined by a range of young producers and DJ’s. These huge names are also backed up by emerging talents SBTRKT, Numbers boss Jackmaster, New York’s Falty DL and Manchester’s own Illum Sphere.
