Young Academic can reveal that yet another summer festival is selling out fast. We learnt yesterday that Hideout Festival is again a sell out and the last of the Parklife Weekender Saturday tickets have now gone as well. The Festival Guide made a promise back in spring to bring you all the information you need about every music festival worth its salt and with no Glastonbury or Oxegen this year we were wondering just how the scene would shape up this summer. It’s looking like and absolute cracker with some huge events selling out in record times.

Those still looking to attend Parklife this year as it bids farewell to Platt’s Field should fear not however, a the final allocation of Weekend and Sunday day tickets are now available. Act fast to avoid disappointment and come and join Young Academic for a damn good rave!

The North of England’s premier city festival featuring The Flaming Lips, Dizzee Rascal, Nero, Noah & The Whale, Justice and more proves to be the UK’s hottest ticket…

Parklife Weekender, taking place Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June at Platt Fields Park, Manchester, has today confirmed that all Saturday day tickets are now SOLD OUT. Fortunately there are still weekend, Sunday day and hospitality tickets available, however promoters strongly advise festival-goers to act fast if they want a chance at being at the last ever Parklife at this location. The festival may only be in its third year however its unique and dynamic offering has meant that previous years have sold-out weeks in advance, with all the signs in twenty-twelve pointing towards a third and hat-trick sell out.

What’s more, with a line-up headlined by The Flaming Lips and Dizzee Rascal, scattered with up-and-coming gems like Azealia Banks and Madeon, as well as special guests Chic, featuring Nile Rogers and De La Soul, all for only £64.50, Parklife Weekender is undoubtedly the best ‘bang for your buck’ ticket this season.

As we’re sure you know, the Young Academic Festival Guide is the UK’s best destination for all of you festival previews, reviews, interviews and ticket information. If it isn’t here, then it’s not worth knowing about. Been to an absolute stormer of an event? Send in your reviews to editor@youngacademic.co.uk!
