Hailed “the best club around” by many big name DJs like Tiesto and Freemasons, here at Young Academic we just had to check Papaya out.  Croatia is becoming a strong contender for the place to be this summer with great artists and DJs hitting the beaches for what has been described as the “best kept secret” of the clubbing world.

Croatian beach club, Papaya, situated on the famous Zcre Beach on the Island of Pag is fast becoming a hotspot for famous DJs and party people alike.  The island is home to just 4 clubs but is known for its 24 hour beach parties and beautiful young clubbers.  Described as the best open air club in this area of Europe, Papaya is known for its unique vibe and VIP treatment with a capacity of 5000 people.

“Papaya has become renowned for the after-beach parties at 4pm every day without exception when everyone gets their dancing shoes on and parties hard until the early hours with the headline DJ set at 3am”

The contrast on the Island of Pag off-season could not be more astonishing.  With a population of just 7000 residents and just as many sheep, locals spend their days making cheese and weaving lace but when party season comes around Zcre Beach and Club Papaya become the place to be.  The club opened in 2002 and since has seen the crème de la crème of dance music and World-class DJs.

The club, divided into six themes, panders to all the needs of the average clubber.  Centred around the Jacuzzi Bar, the club offers various bars, massages, top-notch music and VIP chill-out lounges.  Open from 10am -6am it is at 4pm that this club comes in to its own.  Papaya has become renowned for the after-beach parties at 4pm every day without exception when everyone gets their dancing shoes on and parties hard until the early hours with the headline DJ set at 3am.  In the past, the club has seen big DJs like Calvin Harris, Freemasons, Paul Van Dyk and Tiesto hit the decks.
