Warehouse Project Prepares to Welcome Bloc Party and Issues Ticket Warnings
It is just three days until Warehouse Project 2012 opens its doors to the most exciting live performance of this year’s line-up.  Indie stalwarts Bloc Party will be curating their own night in the biggest evening for lovers of the genre since Foals unforgettable display last season.

Following the band’s hiatus whilst Kele and other members of the band worked on their own material and played with bands such as Ash, new album Four has been released recently and gained great reviews from many quarters of the music industry. Friday night will give fans the chance to hear many of these tunes in all their glory as well as some of the classics that put Bloc Party on the map more than half a decade ago. Whether it was beautifully melodic tracks such as This Modern Love or raw indie instalments like Helicopter that grabbed you last time around, then you are surely set to be in for a treat this Friday night.

The Warehouse Project team has been trying to persuade Bloc Party to play since the inception of the event, so this show is set to be somewhat special for all involved. They are one of the greatest UK bands of a generation thus making this weekend a really proud moment for WHP.

Young Academic will be there doing our usual stuff – reviewing, interviewing and generally taking it all it so look out for our WHP review early next week.

In further Warehouse Project news, the powers that be have asked us to keep you all posted on the much needed ticket warnings. With the new venue in all its glory and receiving national acclaim, tickets are not lasting long this season so be sure to pay close attention…
