Ibizan legend creates exclusive playlist to kick off World Aids Day

ActionAid is asking dance music fans to throw a party or club night – no matter how big or small – to mark World AIDS Day on December 1st.  Donating a unique playlist of his current favourite tracks, DJ Carl Cox is appealing to fans to get on board and throw a party to highlight the HIV/AIDS pandemic worldwide.

As part of the Bollocks to Poverty tour, your party will be part of a chain of many events happening around the UK to raise awareness about the 33 million people living with HIV/AIDS, and you can also raise money for ActionAid’s projects to get treatment and support to the poorest communities.

Carl says: “World AIDS Day is our opportunity to show support for the 33 million people living with HIV/AIDS around the world, especially those fighting against poverty as well.  If you can get a party or club night together for ActionAid and raise some money and awareness, it will make a big difference.”

You can listen to Carl Cox’ choice of tracks on the Bollocks to Poverty online music shop , and if you want to buy tracks, ActionAid get a slice of the profit to help fund projects overseas.

As well as providing free venue decorations and giveaways like Bollocks to Poverty badges and stickers, ActionAid will also help promote your event across its social networks so you get the maximum amount of people through the door. So whether you’ve got a club night coming up that you can tweak to give it a Bollocks to Poverty edge, or you want to plan a something special, get on it NOW.
