Not content with bringing you the full Parklife Weekender 2014 line-up this week, Young Academic can reveal another opportunity for you to look at superbly sculpted six packs and scantily clad women whilst taking in some of the best musical acts of the moment. This time you can do so whilst exploring the Croatian paradise that is Rovinj at Unknown Croatia.

Although such an atmosphere proved not to be everyone’s cup of tea last year, particularly at Heaton Park, we all love a bit of sunshine and the line-ups being provided by events like Parklife and now Unknown Croatia will surely test the resolve of even the most prudish of music fans. After a fantastic debut year in 2013, the Unknown programme is jam packed with the hottest acts of the last twelve months complemented by some typical crowd favourites.

John Talabot, Joy Orbison and Wild Beasts to Descend on Rovinj This September….

After selling out last year, Unknown Croatia has returned with aplomb and announced no fewer than fifty acts already, all of which will perform between Monday 8th and Friday 12th September – leaving plenty of time for Parklife and Glastonbury goers to get their proverbials back together and head for sunnier climes. To name all fifty of the bands and DJ’s that were revealed today would just be plain tedious but you can see the line-up below to see what is in store for 2014’s festival.

Of course, a music festival in the Balkans would not be complete without the customary booze cruises, swimming pool extravaganzas and Rovinj even offers the unique opportunity to go wild in the forest and even explore nearby islands.

What’s more, If the puerility of dancing, boozing and partying gets all a bit too much, the more cultured amongst you can rest assured by the fact that Mad Ferret will be returning for a second year; offering up some unique art and performances alongside Unit 44 et al.unknown croatia

Organised by Leeds promoters Sound Channel, there are yet further treats promised for Unknown attendees. Those looking to attend the festival, set in the “jewel of the Adriatic” can choose from a range of accommodation options – from camping to five star apartments. These options can be explored at uknowncroatia.com from 11th February.
